Tank Linings

The use of dehumidification equipment eliminates the need to include costs incurred by downtime caused by inclement weather.  Work continues even if it rains.  There are no start-up delays due to fog, mist, etc. in the early morning hours.  This is especially important if the project requires out of town expenses.

  1. Work can be scheduled on a 24-hour basis, if permitted by the owner.  Therefore, other equipment on site can be used to generate income for the entire 24-hour day.  Thus, cost can be reduced and you may eliminate the use of rental equipment and maximize the use of company owned equipment.

  2. The project can more likely be completed on time due to this maximum utilization of personnel.  Namely, if a crew completes a project on time, they cane be scheduled for the next project without concern of their availability due to weather delays.  Back up personnel requirements are held to a minimum.

  3. The workers are generally safer and more productive due to a controlled environment.

  4. Daily “work stoppage” required due to the transition from the blasting to priming operation can be eliminated.

  5. One additional cost savings has not been included.  Namely, how much does it cost the owner not to have the tank in service?  We know that it could easily approach, in some cases, as much as several hundreds of thousands of dollars per day.  Therefore, the dollar savings realized by receiving the tank back one day early could easily pay for the cost of dehumidification (and even the power) for the entire project.
